An illustrative embodiment of a method of processing information related to movement of a first vehicle based on information related to movement of at least one second vehicle includes receiving a communication from the second vehicle, the communication including information related to movement of the second vehicle; determining that the movement of the second vehicle corresponds to the movement of the first vehicle; identifying at least one feature of movement of the second vehicle indicative of an environmental condition affecting the movement of the second vehicle; identifying a sensor indication of the movement of the first vehicle corresponding to the characteristic of the movement of the second vehicle; and excluding the identified sensor indication from information for determining movement of the first vehicle.
