The invention discloses a wheel hub motor and an electric vehicle, the wheel hub motor comprises a middle shaft, and a housing assembly, a stator assembly, a rotor assembly and a gear assembly which are connected to the middle shaft, the housing assembly is supported on the middle shaft through a first bearing, the rotor assembly is supported on the middle shaft through a second bearing, and the gear assembly is supported on the middle shaft through a third bearing. The rotor assembly is in transmission connection with the shell assembly through the gear assembly, a first containing groove is formed in the side face, facing the gear assembly, of the rotor assembly, and part of the gear assembly is arranged in the first containing groove. The rotor assembly of the hub motor drives the shell assembly to rotate through the gear assembly, the shell assembly and wheels of the electric vehicle are connected into a whole, and running of the electric vehicle is achieved. According to the hub motor, speed reduction and torque increase are achieved through the gear assembly, in the axial direction, the first containing groove of the rotor assembly is used for containing part of the gear assembly, the axial size of the hub motor is reduced, the space requirement of the hub motor is reduced, and the use range is expanded.

    本发明公开了一种轮毂电机及电动车,轮毂电机包括中轴以及连接于所述中轴的壳体组件、定子组件、转子组件以及齿轮组件,所述壳体组件通过第一轴承支撑在所述中轴上,所述转子组件通过第二轴承支撑在所述中轴上,所述转子组件与所述壳体组件通过所述齿轮组件传动连接,所述转子组件朝向所述齿轮组件的侧面设置有第一容置槽,部分所述齿轮组件置于所述第一容置槽内。轮毂电机的转子组件通过齿轮组件驱动壳体组件旋转,壳体组件与电动车的车轮连接为一体,实现电动车的行驶。轮毂电机通过齿轮组件实现减速和提高扭矩,在轴向上,利用转子组件的第一容置槽容纳部分齿轮组件,减小轮毂电机的轴向尺寸,减小轮毂电机的空间需求,扩大使用范围。
