The invention provides a communication method for a wireless charging preparation stage of an electric vehicle, which comprises the following steps of: establishing a communication method for each link of the preparation stage, sequentially communicating each link, and carrying out compatibility detection and pre-detection, interacting basic parameters and functional parameters of vehicle-mounted equipment and ground equipment by an IVU and a CSU, and carrying out compatibility judgment; performing initial foreign matter detection, interacting foreign matter detection results by the IVU and the CSU, and performing judgment; performing initial alignment detection, which is used for carrying out initial alignment detection on the vehicle-mounted equipment and the ground equipment; performing initial living body protection, interacting a living body protection detection result by the IVU and the CSU, and performing judgment; and performing frequency detection and locking for detecting and locking the frequencies of the vehicle-mounted equipment and the ground equipment. According to the communication method for the wireless charging preparation stage of the electric vehicle, normal interaction between vehicle-mounted equipment and ground equipment of different manufacturers can be ensured before formal charging, and a safe and efficient communication environment is provided for subsequent formal charging.
