The invention provides an electric rotary system, a control method of the electric rotary system and engineering machinery, and belongs to the technical field of engineering machinery. The electric rotary system comprises an electronic control unit, a controller electrically connected with the electronic control unit and used for receiving a rotation signal or a stop signal sent by the electronic control unit, a driving unit electrically connected with the controller and suitable for driving a turning device, and a brake electrically connected with the controller and used for braking a driving motor. According to the electric rotary system provided by the invention, the electronic control unit is arranged to send the rotation signal or the stop signal to the controller, the controller is used for controlling the driving unit to start and stop, and the brake is used for braking when the driving unit stops, so that the control intelligence degree of the turning device is high, starting and stopping of the turning device are facilitated, and driving and braking are both rapid.
