The invention discloses a short-circuit protection device, method and system for a direct-current charger and an electric vehicle. The short-circuit protection device comprises a charger main controller CMU, an electric vehicle BMS and a protection device. The protection device is arranged between a charging gun and an DC input end, the charging gun is connected with the electric vehicle BMS, the electric vehicle BMS is connected with the charger main controller CMU, and the charger main controller CMU is connected with the protection device. According to the invention, the protection effect of the fuse of the charger is fully exerted, the safety protection of the charger and the electric vehicle in the charging process is improved, and the maintenance cost of the electric vehicle is reduced.
