The invention discloses a retarder braking torque pressure control system and method. The retarder braking torque pressure control system comprises a thrust device, a retarder oil inlet channel, a retarder working cavity feedback oil channel, a retarder oil return channel, a retarder control valve, an oil cooler oil inlet channel, an oil cooler oil return channel and a back pressure feedback oil way. The thrust device pushes a main valve element in the retarder control valve to move, the thrust of the pressure of a working cavity of the retarder on the main valve element and the elastic force of the spring are balanced with the thrust of the thrust device, the pressure of the working cavity of the retarder is controlled by controlling the thrust of the thrust device, and then the brake torque of the retarder is controlled. When the retarder works, the liquid filling rate in the working cavity is constant, the brake torque of the retarder is changed by adjusting and controlling the thrust to change the pressure difference between the working cavity of the retarder and the oil outlet, the control response speed is high, and the adjusting precision is high.
