Provided is a highly reliable electronic control device having a timer that operates during a key-off period, wherein diagnosis of a normal operation of the timer is possible even during the key-off period. The electronic control device comprises a first power supply unit with which a battery voltage is always supplied as a power supply voltage. The first power supply unit has: a first timer that measures the key-off period; a diagnostic timer that is different from the first timer; and a first timer diagnostic unit that compares a timer value of the first timer and a timer value of the diagnostic timer at the time of key-off.
