The invention discloses a traffic flow anomaly detection method based on PSO-Welsk-Ridge, which improves the prediction performance of traffic flow anomaly detection and can effectively relieve the traffic jam problem. The method comprises the steps of firstly, acquiring traffic flow historical data, and performing data preprocessing on the traffic flow historical data to obtain a training sample set; according to the training sample set, constructing a robust ridge regression Welsk-Ridge model; on the basis of a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, optimizing the Welsk-Ridge model, and training to obtain a PSO-Welsk-Ridge model; enabling the particle swarm optimization PSO algorithm to retain the first N particles with good corresponding fitness values in each iteration, and reducing the risk of falling into local optimum; obtaining a to-be-detected sample set of to-be-detected traffic flow data; through the to-be-detected sample set and the PSO-Welsk-Ridge model, obtaining a traffic flow prediction result through calculation; and according to the traffic flow prediction result and the actual traffic flow result, obtaining a traffic flow anomaly detection result of the PSO-Welsch-Ridge model.
