The invention provides an elevator and a lift car capable of reducing noise generated during lifting movement. An elevator includes a car (120). The elevator car (120) is provided with a car chamber (121), a door unit and a fairing (10A) arranged in the car chamber (121). The cowl (10A) has a flat plate-shaped front surface section (11) parallel to the vertical direction. The front surface section(11) faces the elevator hall side wall surface (110a). Furthermore, an air vent (15) into which air (W1) flowing between the front surface part (11) and the elevator hall side wall surface (110a) flows is formed in the front surface part (11).
