The utility model discloses a special clamping lifting appliance for lifting a steel billet. The special clamping lifting appliance comprises a lifting rod, a support limiter, two clamping hooks and arhombic connecting rod mechanism consisting of two connecting rods and connecting rod ends of the two clamping hooks; one end of the lifting rod is connected with a crane lifting hook through a fifthshaft, the other end of the lifting rod is connected with an obtuse angle formed by two connecting rods in the rhombus connecting rod mechanism through a first shaft; a third shaft and a fourth shaftare arranged on two acute angles formed by the connecting rods and the connecting rod ends of the clamping hooks in the rhombic connecting rod mechanism respectively; one end of the support limiter is installed on the fourth shaft; the other end of the support limiter is installed on the third shaft through a small loose piece; the connecting rod ends of the two clamping hooks are fixed through asecond shaft to form the other obtuse angle of the rhombic connecting rod mechanism; and an angle between the connecting rod ends of the clamping hooks and the clamping ends is 150 degrees. Accordingto a lever principle, dead weight and friction force are used for clamping waste steel billets on a heat output roller way, hooks of the lifting appliance can be automatically opened and closed, anda clamp can be automatically limited.
