The invention discloses a lifting lug structure optimization method of a plate girder and a lifting lug. According to the technical scheme of the lifting lug structure optimization method, tensile stress calculation, shear stress calculation and lifting lug weld joint strength calculation are respectively conducted according to lifting lug parameters; the lifting lug structure is obtained according to the results of the tensile stress calculation and the shear stress calculation; and the size of the lifting lug and the size of a plate girder main body are determined according to the result ofthe lifting lug weld joint strength calculation. The tensile stress is calculated by adopting the hole diameter of the lifting lug, so that the lifting lug structure can be optimized. The lifting lugstructure is convenient in construction and is convenient for lifting.
