The invention provides a system, a method and a device for improving electrical performance of a carrier. The hybrid power system includes a power controller adapted to communicate with a first powersource, a second power source, and a load, wherein the power controller may be configured to detect whether a current drawn by the load exceeds a predetermined threshold current, controlling dischargeof the first power supply without allowing discharge of the second power supply to provide power to the load when the current drawn by the load is less than a predetermined threshold current, and controlling discharge of the first power supply and the second power supply to provide power to the load when the current drawn by the load is greater than the predetermined threshold current, wherein the hybrid power system is positioned on an unmanned aerial vehicle, the power density of the second power supply is higher than that of the first power supply, and the second power supply is charged bythe first power supply; the unmanned aerial vehicle operates in an advanced flight mode when the current drawn by the load is greater than a predetermined threshold current.
