The invention discloses a gas-liquid separation sea chest which comprises a suction grid, a water suction pipe, a flow guide plate and an exhaust pipe. The suction grid is arranged on an outer plate of the sea chest. The water suction pipe is arranged on the bulkhead of the sea chest and used for connecting the sea chest with an external cooling system. The flow guide plate is installed on the bulkhead and arranged between the suction grid and the water suction pipe, the lowest point of the flow guide plate is lower than that of the suction grid, and the highest point of the flow guide plate is higher than the central point of a pipe opening of the water suction pipe; the side, close to the flow guide plate, of the pipe opening of the water suction pipe is lower than the highest point of the flow guide plate. The exhaust pipe is arranged on the bulkhead and used for exhausting gas in the sea chest. The flow guide plate is additionally arranged between the water suction pipe and the suction grid, so that the flow path of a gas-liquid mixture is increased, the streamline of the gas-liquid mixture is changed, the gas-liquid mixture firstly moves upwards and then moves downwards, gas and liquid substances with different densities can be separated under the action of inertia, and gas can be exhausted out of the sea chest from the exhaust pipe.
