The jellyfish-imitating detector comprises a detection module, and is characterized by further comprising a propelling module and a steering module. The propelling module comprises a plurality of fanblades capable of being stretched or folded and a propelling power system used for controlling the fan blades to move. The steering module comprises a steering engine unit and a tail fin unit, the topof the steering engine unit is located below the propelling module, and the tail fin unit is located below the steering engine unit; and the detection module is located at the upper end of the propelling module. The jellyfish-imitating detector has the advantages of being high in underwater moving flexibility, small in size and high in trafficability.
