The invention discloses a protective device for quickly mounting a sacrificial anode for a ballast tank and an application method thereof. A water absorption and moisture retention material in the protective device can absorb electrolyte solution water, when the cabin wall (or cabin top) of the ballast tank is in air, an ion channel is provided for the aluminum-based sacrificial anode and the cabin wall or cabin top, four prongs of an iron network can pierce a coating on the surface of the cabin wall or cabin top, and an electron channel is provided for the aluminum-based sacrificial anode andthe cabin wall, so that in the gas-phase environment, an electrochemical loop is formed between a protected body cathode (cabin wall or cabin top) and the sacrificial anode (aluminum base), the sacrificial anode is consumed, electrons are released to a protected body, and therefore a cabin body is effectively protected. The protective device for quickly mounting the sacrificial anode for the ballast tank comprises the protected cabin body, the water absorption and moisture retention material, a strong magnet, a water-tight joint, a protection potential test meter head, a micro reference electrode, a cathode loop connection point, a sacrificial anode support and tip supporting legs.
