The invention relates to a system for monitoring and exploration, comprising a first number of drones, a second number of docking stations, at least one station for further processing and at least onecontrol system, wherein the drones comprise at least one sensor and at least one communication means and the docking stations comprise at least one communication means, wherein the communication means permit at least some of the docking stations to communicate with at least some of drones, and/or permit at least some of the docking stations to communicate with one another and at least some of drones to communicate with one another. The system is particularly suited for use in deep mining and civil engineering.
