The invention provides an electric vehicle antitheft method. The method needs a mobile phone APP, a background server, a vehicle terminal, and a motor management system. An owner uses the mobile phone APP to lock or unlock an electric vehicle through the background server. After the owner starts the electric vehicle, the vehicle terminal and the motor management system identify, after identification is passed, if the electric vehicle is in a locked or frozen state, the motor management system does not respond to an electric vehicle startup signal, and the electric vehicle cannot be started up. If the electric vehicle is in an unlock state, the motor management system responds to the electric vehicle startup signal, and the electric vehicle is started up. If the identification is not passed, the motor management system does not respond to the startup signal, and records the number of continuous failed identification, after a certain number of times, the motor management system enters the frozen state and records a fault code. In the frozen state, the motor management system can be unfrozen through an after-sale diagnostic apparatus. On the premise of not increasing hardware cost, the method greatly improves antitheft reliability.
