The invention relates to the technical field of time-delay circuits, in particular to a novel automatic parking-brake applying circuit. A storage battery is connected between an end A1 of a time relay and an end A3 of the time relay and supplies electricity to a 137 contactor coil at the inner part of the time relay; an end A2 of the time relay is connected with the positive pole of a storage-battery switch-blade main contact, an end A6 of the time relay is connected with the negative pole of the storage-battery switch-blade main contact, so that electricity is supplied to a control relay coil at the inner part of the time relay; besides, two ends of the control relay coil are respectively connected in parallel with a resistor and a capacitor; two ends of a main contact of a 137 contactor are connected between an end A4 of the time relay and an end A5 of the time relay, so that an automatic parking-brake applying function for a locomotive is realized. The automatic parking-brake applying circuit meets the requirement for the automatic parking-brake applying function of a locomotive, and a parking-brake applying pulse valve does not need to work for a long time, so that the parking-brake applying pulse valve is prevented from heating and being burnt out; the phenomenon that after a switch blade is switched off, the storage battery is short of electricity due to long-time power supply is avoided; the control relay coil is isolated from the contactor coil in the time relay, so that the phenomenon that because electric current flows in a wrong locomotive circuit, a time delay function is not effective is avoided.
