The invention relates to a counter-weight weight adjustable energy-saving freight elevator. According to the counter-weight weight adjustable energy-saving freight elevator, a counter weight of the freight elevator is changed into a hollow water tank from solid steel; the weight of an elevator car is balanced by the counter-weight water tank; the water level in the water tank is changed along the change of the weight of loaded cargoes in the elevator car so that the weight of the counter weight of the elevator can be adjusted; and a motor in the elevator can only overcome frictional resistance to act, but does not need to overcome the gravity of the elevator car to act. Water in the counter-weight water tank is used wastewater or sewage which is collected from floors and is purified; firstly, the sewage is collected and purified and then the purified water is injected into the counter-weight water tank along the running of the elevator so as to balance the weight of the elevator car; gravitational potential energy is used as one part of power of an elevator system so as to reduce acting of the motor in an elevator system; and when the elevator runs to the bottommost layer, the water is discharged. Therefore, the gravitational potential energy of domestic sewage is used for recycling energy, which is consumed by conveying tap water from low floors to high floors, through the elevator system, and furthermore, the aim of reducing the energy for running the elevator is achieved.
