The dolly (10) is configured in such a manner that: when the dolly (10) advances, wheel centers (146) located at wheel mounts (142) for the freely swiveling casters (14) provided at the front in the advance direction move downward to bring the points (145) of contact of wheels (141) with the traveling surface to positions below the point (155) of contact of the wheel (151) of the non-swiveling caster (15) with the traveling surface; and wheel centers (146) located at wheel mounts (142) for the freely swiveling casters (14) provided at the rear in the advance direction move upward to bring the points (145) of contact of the wheels (141) with the traveling surface to positions above the point (155) of contact of the wheel (151) of the non-swiveling caster (15) with the traveling surface.
