The invention relates to an auxiliary limiting device for a rescue boat. The auxiliary limiting device comprises a supporting stand column installed on a deck of a ship. A rotating head capable of rotating horizontally is installed at the top end of the supporting stand column. The top end of the rotating head is hinged to one end of a horizontal supporting rod through a perpendicular hinge, a lantern ring is arranged at the other end of the horizontal supporting rod, and the supporting stand column is located between a boat hoist and the rescue boat. The initial position of the rotating head is identical with the heading of the main ship, the limiting direction of the rotating head points to the release position of the rescue boat, and the maximum rotating angle of the rotating head is 90 degrees. By means of the auxiliary limiting device, manpower is not needed to control the running direction of the boat any more in the rotating process of the rescue boat, the phenomenon that the angle of the boat is excessively adjusted due to man causes in the rotating process of the boat is avoided, in the rotating process, due to the fact that the swing of the boat is reduced, sailors are prevented from falling into water, and a very good protection function is achieved on the sailors on the boat.
