The invention discloses an automatic collision avoidance system at the front end of a heavy duty truck. The automatic collision avoidance system comprises a gas storage cylinder (1), a solenoid regulator valve (2), a brake foot valve (3), a four-way gas channel connector (4), a brake gas chamber (5), a gas pressure sensor (6), an alarm and a central control unit ECU (Electronic Control Unit), wherein a gas inlet of the brake foot valve (3) is connected with a gas outlet of the gas storage cylinder (1); a gas inlet of the solenoid regulator valve (2) is connected with a gas outlet of the gas storage cylinder (1); a gas outlet of the brake foot valve (3), a gas outlet of the solenoid regulator valve (2), a gas inlet of the gas pressure sensor (6) and a gas inlet of the brake gas chamber (5) are correspondingly connected with four gas openings of the four-way gas channel connector (4); the gas pressure sensor (6) is electrically connected with the central control unit ECU; the central control unit ECU is electrically connected with the solenoid regulator valve (2). According to the automatic collision avoidance system, dangerous anticipation can be realized, automatic alarming and automatic braking measures can be taken, and automatic brake can be realized without depending on a driver so as to avoid accidents.
