The invention provides a damping device for the interior of a moon pool of a drilling ship. The damping device comprises a moon pool structure arranged on the midship portion of the drilling ship and provided with a vertically-through opening. An inclined wedge-shaped flow guide block is arranged in front of the moon pool structure, and the vertical plane of the inclined wedge-shaped flow guide block overlaps with the front edge of the moon pool structure. A wedge-shaped slot is formed in back of the moon pool structure, and the vertical plane of the wedge-shaped slot overlaps with the rear edge of the moon pool structure. Two triangular stop devices are arranged on the rear edge of the moon pool structure and arranged above the vertical plane of the wedge-shaped slot in the vertical direction. The damping device can reduce resistance of the drilling ship and improve sailing economy of the drilling ship.
