The invention relates to an escalator handrail driving device. The escalator handrail driving device comprises a driving sprocket and a driving shaft. The driving sprocket is fixedly arranged on the driving shaft. The two ends of the driving shaft are connected with driving wheels. Each driving wheel is of a circular structure. A handrail friction belt wheel on the outer layer of each driving wheel is in a T shape. A connecting hole is formed in the center of each driving wheel. Each connecting hole is provided with a key groove. By means of the structure, the strength of the driving wheels is higher, and connection between the driving wheels and the driving shaft is more stable; the driving wheels are directly connected with the driving shaft through keys to complete assembling, the processing steps are simplified, and the manufacturing and assembly process of a traction sheave is omitted.
