The invention proposes a vehicle brake detection system and a method. The system comprises a receiving module for receiving a brake signal and a main cylinder pressure signal, and a judging module for judging if the brake signal is normal in synchronization according to a receiving time difference of a brake lamp signal and a brake switch signal, judging if the pressure corresponding to the main cylinder pressure signal reaches a first preset pressure threshold in a preset time after the brake signal is received when the brake signal is normal in synchronization, judging the brake signal and the main cylinder pressure signal generate a synchronization fault when the brake signal is normal in synchronization, judging if the brake lamp signal and the brake switch signal are received when the pressure corresponding to the main cylinder pressure signal reaches a second preset pressure threshold, and judging the brake signal generates a reasonable fault and judging if the main cylinder pressure signal is normal according to a calibrated data range when the brake signal is abnormal in synchronization. The system can accurately diagnose the reasonability and the synchronization of the vehicle brake signal and the main cylinder pressure signal to improve the brake safety of whole vehicle.
