The invention, which relates to the technical field of the control safety of the electronic lock, discloses an electronic lock of a two-wheel somatosensory electric balance car and a control method thereof. The balance car electronic lock comprises a mechanical structure and an electronic control part. The mechanical structure is formed by lock catch plates and lock bodies installed in a balance car box body. Lock catch holes are formed in the lock catch plated uniformly. The lock body consist of lock cylinders and transmission mechanisms; each lock cylinder contains a spring bolt, a transmission element, a guide column, a limiting pin, and a spring; and each transmission mechanism includes a rack, a gear wheel, a stepping motor, and a thrust block fixed at the bottom of the rack. The electronic control part of the electronic lock contains an electronic lock sending terminal controller and an electronic lock receiving terminal controller. Operations of unlocking and locking can be realized by a wireless remote control key. When the stepping motors are rotated in a reversal mode, the lock cylinders move left under the spring force effect of the springs and thus the spring bolts extend and are inserted into the lock catch holes of the lock catch plates, thereby locking the wheels. Conversely, the thrust blocks stir the limiting pins to enable the lock cylinders to move right; and the spring bolts are retracted to realize unlocking of the wheels.
