The invention provides a steering control system for an electric fork lift. The steering control system for the electric fork lift comprises a direct current brushless motor, a steering wheel encoder, a power driver, a sampler and a controller. The steering wheel encoder is used for detecting a rotation speed signal and a direction signal of the steering wheel of the electric fork lift. The power driver is connected with the direct current brushless motor and used for driving the direct current brushless motor. The sampler is connected with the direct current brushless motor and used for collecting working status of the direct current brushless motor in order to generate a sample signal. The controller is respectively connected with the steering wheel encoder, the power driver and the sampler. The controller is used for generating a pulse width modulation PWM control signal based on the rotation speed signal and the direction signal of the steering wheel, the sample signal, and a preset control strategy; and the controller is used for sending the PWM control signal to the power driver in order to control the direct current brushless motor through the power driver. Therefore, the steering control system is able to respond to the steering requirements of the electric fork at real time; thus, the steering control system ensures the hand feel of turning the steering wheel, reduces the power consumption of the electric fork, and saves the maintenance cost. The invention further provides an electric fork lift.
