The present invention provides a solution for expanding the solar irradiation surface and power capacity of a containership by converting it into a floating solar power plant with energy storage, said plant increases its capacity for mitigating high waves and winds by folding the solar panels into the containership rooftop and deck area during storms and unfolding back to capture solar power. Excess power will extract carbon dioxide and hydrogen from seawater and synthesize methanol as fuel for engines and hydrogen for fuel cells and storage. Excess carbon dioxide is sequestrated into offshore depleted oil and gas deposits while shipping containers below the deck area store hydrogen and carbon dioxide. In contrast, those above the deck are used for storing seawater and form the upper reservoir of the pumped hydro energy storage system. Containerized Inflatable sails installed on the first top row will provide the containership with additional propulsion power in winds, calm, or during a storm.
