NOVEL LNG PROPULSION POD A novel system and a process is described which relates to a method of improving two key criteria in the field of marine transportation. * The first criteria being the environmental pollution being generated by marine 10 vessels. * Secondly to save on costs by significantly reducing the fuel , marine diesel oil, which is typically used on aboard these vessels 15 More specifically, this present invention relates to a system comprising a Power Generation Vessel 1, the Propulsion Pod 2, the Vessel 3, Main Power Transfer Cable 4 and a Mooring Chain 5. A novel LNG re-gasifying method is also described. The electric power is generated in the Power Generation Vessel 1 which is transferred 20 via the Main Power Transfer Cable 4 to the Propulsion Pod 2 that which is fixed to the Vessel 3 to enable it to be propelled independently of its own propulsion system, thereby reducing the consumption of its primary fuel source. The Propulsion Pod 2 can be attached to the sides of the Vessel 3 or to the stern of the 25 Vessel 3.
