Abstract To understand overseas travel choice behavior of persons with reduced mobility, this paper examines the perceptions in a sample of such people from Taiwan. The results indicate that the three most important items for people with reduced mobility from traveling overseas, are barrier-free airport facilities, a support staff that can arrange the transport for overseas travel, and self-reporting the impairment situation to the airlines when making a reservation. The results also show that the main factors considered when engaging in overseas air travel are, exclusive facilities and services, service from the support staff, and travel information.
