Compact, four door, five passenger electric car was developed by Electric Fuel Propulsion Inc to provide economical, non-air-polluting private transportation to urban and suburban residents of metropolitan areas; car has maximum speed of 60 mph, driving range of 70 to 120 mi on charge, which can be recharged to 80% capacity in 46 min; tri-polar, lead-cobalt battery used and regenerative braking-system are described; average city or suburban resident could use vehicle for most of his driving requirements up to 70 mi day, or under certain conditions, up to 230 mi day.
