Higher pressures of Diesel cycle necessitate only inconsiderable increase in engine weight, not interfering with use for automotive purposes; M.A.N. has adopted pressure-atomization method which is particularly adapted to use in automotive engines; construction of earlier and recent M.A.N. oil engines with details of fuel injection and control; economy and flexibility make it competitor of gasoline engine for vehicle propulsion especially where fuel cost is major item.
