Concludes that for frame construction of cargo ships, etc., for all parts not coming in contact with cargo, pressure impregnation with tar oil is the best protective medium; for all other parts, and for interior construction, kyanizing, or impregnation with mixture of fluorine sodium and sublimate of mercury, is recommended.
