Model presented deals with individual driver and his interactions with environment and other vehicles; it attempts to simulate driver's perceptual, decision making, and response processes as he approaches, passes through, and leaves intersection; parameter studies were carried out, one of which employed driver-vehicle attributes, braking factor, attention lag, maneuver, initial velocity (mph), and decision time (seconds); other used emergency braking factor, and decision time; comparison is made between model' s output and field data; at very gross level, model accurately predicts driver behavior.
