Uniline system, developed by J.Brockhouse and Co, based upon method first evolved in India, consists of concrete track down middle of which is laid single rail; vehicles hauled by prime mover are guided by veritical rollers suspended from their axles; prime mover and vehicles fitted with pneumatic tires; only one section of light rail is used; on demonstration line in Sussex, 7-ton locomotive with 90-hp Diesel engine pulls several load carrying vehicles.
