New 14-cylinder air-cooled radial engine produced by Armstrong-Siddeley; increased power has been attained by increasing cylinder bore from 5 in. to 5 1/4 in. which infers increase of piston displacement from 1513 cu. in. to 1667 cu. in.; at normal engine speed (2000 r.p.m.) power developed is 525 hp. at 3000 ft., which compares with 440 hp. obtained from earlier Jaguar, but it can be run at full throttle on ground for short periods to develop 600 hp. at 2200 r.p.m.
