Propulsion requirements for lunar flight are function of flight techniques or trajectories, categorized as direct flight to and from lunar surface, single rendezvous or docking in 300-nauticalmi earth orbit and subsequent lunar flight and return, multiple rendezvous and assembly of lunar capsule in 300-nautical-mi earth orbit and lunar flight and return; it is concluded that rocket engines necessary for program are available in "off-the-shelf" status or in advanced development; manned lunar exploration can be obtained by employing multiple rendezvous techniques for assembly of spacecraft.
