Electric apparatus serves as computer for evaluation of linear strain measurements taken in rosette fashion on surface of structural element carrying tension or compression and shear; solution of strain circle is accomplished by coupled rotary transformers, one representing each of rosette gages; machine affords great time saving over trigonometric or graphical evaluation methods.
