Jacona, first successful conversion of ship into floating power plant, capable of generating 20,000 kw.; boiler equipment consists of four Babcock and Wilcox marine-type boilers equipped with air preheaters, interdeck superheaters and Diamond soot blowers; boilers deliver 280,000 lb. steam per hr. at 425 lb. per sq. in. and 250 deg. fahr. superheat.
