First of series of 12 knot vessels built by Mathias Thesen Werft, Eastern Zone of Germany; ships have cabin accommodations for 368 passengers and can carry additional 520 persons; length oa 93.3 m, beam 12 m, depth 4.30 m; triple screw propulsion is provided by three engines of four stroke, pressure charged type developing 400 bhp each at 500 rpm, built at Karl-Liebnechtwerke, Magdeburg.
