Report on measurements of jet heat from tail pipe nozzles of aircraft, shows little danger of heat damage to concrete runways since tail pipes are located sufficiently far above surface to cause heat to be dissipated before it is radiated onto ground; heat at 400 C immediately in rear of center of nozzle declines to 50 C at point 2 ft above or below outlet.
