This article investigates scientific and methodological device for radio signals processing on the basis of the search of coincidence and nonlinear chirplet approximation. By means of the proposed scientific-methodological device the quasi-optimal algorithm for estimating of the time of arrival of MSK-radio signals of packet-radio network in spatially separated points for receipt of long range positioning system has been designed. By way of simulation modeling the comparative analysis of the accuracy of characteristics of the developed algorithm with known algorithms has been carried out. It is shown that the proposed algorithm has the best accuracy characteristics compared to conventional algorithms. In addition, the proposed approach can improve performance of long range positioning system through distributed processing.
