Research problem. How conventional physiotherapy and virtual reality can improve on the of gait and balance functions in patients after a stroke? The research subject. The effect of virtual reality and conventional physiotherapy for gait and balance. The research aim. To evaluate the effects of virtual reality and conventional physiotherapy on the gait and balance of patients after stroke. Research methods: scientific literature analysis, testing-experiment, mathematical statistical analysis. Conslusions. 1.After a stroke occurs gait and balance disorders, gait and balance disorders after a stroke, which restricts movement, increases the risk of falling, impairs the patient's quality of life. Neurorehabilitacion after a stroke is based on the premise that a properly selected exercise program can promote brain plasticity and enhance the recovery process of motor functions. To promote brain plasticity, recomended task-oriented physiotherapy or virtual reality on the treadmill providing feedback. Also important in the rehabilitation process is the motivation of the patient, which contributes to achieving good results. 2.Analized received data established that virtual reality and conventional physiotherapy application improve balance results of all patients and reduced the risk of falling. 3.Analized recieved data established that virtual reality and conventional physiotherapy application effective improved of gait parameters such as gait speed, paretic step length, stride lenght and step cadence.
