In recent years, with the type of rail transit between the national railway and the urban rail transit, the city regional railway is gradually becoming an important rail transit mode from downtown to the new city. This paper analyzes the necessity of joint operations between the national railway and the regional railway. Taking the Line S1 of the Wenzhou Regional Railway as an example, this paper analyzes the through flow between the city regional railway and the national railway and comprehensively studies some technical issues on through operation such as the traction mode and power supply system, which enumerates some major difficulties for the transport organization and operation management of the city regional railway, such as the cross-line train running plan and ticket-selling. Through the research of this paper, the theoretical evidence is provided for promoting the integrated development of China’s rail transit system interconnection and interoperation.
