This paper illustrates how simulations can be used as powerful tools for planning and capacity management by detailing three different simulations that were created in order to solve complicated passenger flow and people mover problems. These simulations take into account the most noticeable effect of passenger increases that will be the delays caused by bottlenecks in pax flow sensitive areas throughout an airport and capacity demands on people mover systems.
