During the real daily railway transportation organization, trains were running according to the train diagram or timetable, so it is very meaningful that studying the fixed-time mode train traction calculating, which will be benefit for the train running safely and on schedule, and also be good for energy-saving. Based on the train calculation theory and. train driver's operation experience, many efficient train operation methods were summarized. For the fixed-time train running mode problem, an optimized resolution was applied with the random search algorithm. During the resolution process, a tract called "idle time section dispatch" was put forward to dispatch the train running time in the traction section. Finally a simulation showed that the solution was effective.
