A section was selected to carry out both dynamic and static tests in order to assess the operation adaptability of existing line speed increases to 200 km/h and to put forward corresponding railway maintenance technology. It assessed the 200km/h EMUs operation safety on existing reform line, and analyzed operation adaptabilities of special sections, such as at the transition between road and bridge, R = 2200m curve and rail welded joints, etc. The results show that for a railway line with a speed increase to 200km/h, a roadbed-bridge transition section should be set up to reduce the additional dynamic impact caused by the changes in track stiffness. It is appropriate to increase the speed of 2200m radius curve to 180km/h, and its speed should be increased accordingly with the speed of freight trains. For a railway line of mixed passenger and freight traffic with speeds up to 200˜250km/h, welding joint irregularity should be strictly controlled, and a timely polishing should be arranged when the irregularity is over 0.3mm. Based on the challenges for the China railway and the in-depth analysis of foreign high-speed railway maintenance characteristics, this proposes a maintenance technology system of raising the speed reform railway line by focusing on 4 aspects: the maintenance system, the track management standards, the track detection mode, and maintenance operations.
