In recent years, "internet of things" technology has become of increased interest. According to "internet of things" application demonstration project of maintaining road traffic unblocked in extreme meteorological conditions", the first batch project of Internet of things in Beijing, this article introduces the application of internet of things technology in road traffic weather. Through real-time monitoring and analysis of meteorological information, this article constructs the system of road traffic meteorological service. The system can forecast and an early warning of the ponding depth, visibility, surface temperature, snow depth, ice and other situation of traffic trunk, improve the level of road traffic management, ensure road traffic safety and smooth in extreme weather conditions.
