Pelem Gurih Junction is situated in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This three arm signalized junction is very congested during peak hour. Therefore, it is planned to be modified into signalized roundabout. A computer simulation program: KREISIG (Kreisverkehrsplaetze mit Lichtsignalanlage=signalized roundabout), which was developed by Munawar (1994) in Germany has been employed to optimize the signal. This program can calculate the queues and delays at signalized roundabout. However, this KREISIG program is based on the German driver behavior, which is quite different from Indonesian driver behavior. Therefore, the sensitivity parameters and the yellow time decision of the drivers should be calibrated first. The saturation flow output has also been compared to 1997 Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual. Trial and error method has been employed to adjust the saturation flow. Turbine method has been used for signal setting. Then, the KREISIG program was run to optimize the signal setting. This program has been succeeded to optimize signal setting at this planned signalized roundabout.
