In order to clarify the structural characteristics and applicability of heavy-duty bus lane pavements in cold regions, this paper takes the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit System) special line in Lanzhou City as the research object and proposes three asphalt pavement structural schemes using the theory of multi-layer elastic laminated system [Scheme I (P1): SMA-13+AC-20+AC-25; Scheme II (P2): SMA-13+AC-20+ATB-25; Scheme III (P3): block masonry + cement treatment layer + gravel soil], and based on HPDS2017 and GeoStudio 2018, the study is centered on its service performance (permanent deformation of pavement, road surface acceptance bending settlement value). The results show that: rutting is the main deterioration problem, and BRT lanes are more serious; the rutting resistance of P1 is stronger than that of P2; the design permanent deformation of P3 is smaller than the design bending settlement value of P1 and P2, so the rutting deterioration resistance of block pavements is better than that of asphalt pavements. Combined with P3, a combined scheme is proposed, i.e., P3 pavement is paved at BRT station stops and P1 pavement is paved at driveways.
